Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Tallahassee is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tallahassee follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The team was phenomenal!!! I appreciate them for hooking me up with a quick fix for my AC and a roadmap for sustainable cooling. No nonsense and honest people! Please check them out for your ac repairs!!!

Claimed in Ad to be fast with good reviews. Got there from out of town around 3 PM. Ask for them to take a look at AC. Not one car in 3 bays, worker in bay looking at his phone. Man says no we can't look at it today we close at 6 so you'll have to come back next week! Don't think so 60 miles 1 way. Sorry we're to BUSY??

Told me I needed a compressor and charged $60 diagnostic. Next day in a different shop, the problem was fixed for $39 and the 9 month old compressor was fine. Went back to request a $60 refund and they got defensive and claimed the compressor will leak again. I showed my receipts and my car was running but they still said no as in we're keeping the $60 misdiagnosed repair quote. Guess $60 is worth more than credibility in Newnan's.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. We brought our vehicle in for an AC issue while visiting from Orlando and were quoted over $2,500 for a full repair. We were advised that a ~$400 recharge/service would allow the AC to last enough to hold us over atleast to get home safely. Based on that expectation, we agreed to the initial service. Unfortunately, the AC was still not working IMMEDIATELY afterward. $400 down the drain. We were traveling with a newborn and explained the situation, but no alternative solutions or accommodations were offered when we let them know the service didn’t work. We were ultimately left to drive back home without AC. When we raised concerns, we were told there was no way to identify the leak beforehand. However, common AC diagnostic methods such as a vacuum hold test, UV dye/leak detection, or an electronic leak detector are standard ways to check for leaks before or alongside a recharge. So there are multiple methods they could have taken yet they tried to make us believe there was nothing they could do. Given the circumstances, this raises serious concerns about the reliability of their recommendations and overall customer care. I would strongly advise others to procee

I could not be happier with the service I received from Newman's! They were recommended to me from a trusted friend so this was my first experience. They diagnosed my 2011 CRV accurately and for free, and gave me the written estimate. I had to wait a couple weeks because money but it was no issue. They had a driver that was able to bring me home (and back the last time) which is incredibly convenient and they got my big baby back on the road the same day. They talked to me in words I can understand and I never got the sense that they were trying to upsell or do anything not needed. Some women have this experience at auto shops. My personal experience here was trustworthy, reliable, and efficient! I will definitely refer them to friends and family and use them for any future issues we may have. Truly a breath of fresh air during the holidays to be treated well and kindly.
